Hannah's Foundation has been able to assist many families in the past two years with financial resources to pay for their loved ones funeral. It is industry policy across many Funeral Homes and their organisation that services require a significant payment unfront before services can proceed. All financial assistance with funeral expenses is paid DIRECTLY to the funeral home concerned upon forwarding of an invoice.
In the event of your loved ones death Hannahs Foundation is also able to provide PUBLIC APPEAL assistance upon authorisation from the family. The appeal process covers expenses incurred in the event of death and Hannahs Foundation does not charge to run these appeals. The balance of monies is held by the foundation for future support to your family for accounts relating to counselling, medical expenses and assistance in rebuilding your life. In the past appeals have been able to provide parents with return to work training, assistance with rental and general household bills relating to the death of your loved one. Hannahs Foundation does not expect repayment of these funds unless other arrangements have been previously agreed. Hannahs Foundation is a registered charity and Funeral assistance is a main aim of support provided by the foundation.
Hannahs Foundation has been able to liaise with funeral homes and negotiate payment arrangments whilst waiting for insurance policies for Adults. In the event of children losing their only parent/s. Hannahs Foundation conducts appeals and provides FULL financial assistance for children. Appeal balances are set up for Educational costs.
Hannahs Foundation can also liaise with Government departments such as Centrelink, Child Support agency and Dept of Communities and others if required.
Financial assistance varies per individual case. Some families have required deposits whilst others have applied for full amounts.
Hannahs Foundation will assist where possible to provide support whilst liaising with Funeral homes as we understand this process is highly emotional, distressing and confusing.
