When offering support the Foundation offers it in many different forms.
Peer Support
Hannah’s Foundation provides a 24 hour peer to peer support network through the 1800 HANNAH (426 624) phone number. The peer to peer support officers at the Foundation have all been through the loss of a loved one or injury through water tragedies and are available to speak with those families who just need to talk to someone who understands what they are going through.
Professional Support
Hannah’s Foundation provides assistance with the financial and transport costs for professional counselling. Through our network of families we have been able to find many experienced and supportive professional counsellors who have an understanding of the issues confronting families through drowning. The Foundation strongly encourages members to seek professional counselling services or support from appropriately qualified medical professionals either through your local GP, Psychologist or Psychiatrist or other medical professional.
